♥ To provide a warm welcome to visitors to Bannockburn and Stirling.
♥ To thank visitors for choosing to come here and for remembering our great heroes.
♥ To offer an outdoor walking tour at Bannockburn Battlefield and Stirling Bridge.
♥ And as the tours have developed, we are proud to announce that we are also sharing our learning with friends from the King of Scot’s Heritage Centre, The Society of John De Graeme and the Society of William Wallace. We are happy to support others in creating a welcoming environment for those seeking to discover and learn about our our History and Heroes.
Each tour remembers all those who fought and who gave their lives on both sides at Stirling Bridge, Bannockburn and throughout the Wars of Independence. The battles fought in and around Stirling 700 years ago were crucial to the Scottish way of life. Freedom Tour Today allow you to walk with Wallace and relive Bruce’s greatest victory! Today the sites are peaceful and calming places to walk around and learn about the characters that kept Scotland Alive!
In the 700 years since the battles, Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn remain in the hearts, not just of local people, but to people from all over the world who love Scotland. Whoever you are and wherever you are from, you are welcome to come along and enjoy a walk around Bannockburn Battlefield or Stirling Bridge. Thank you for thinking of us.
If you don’t make it this time, you are most welcome next visit. Safe Passage to you and your family. Yours Aye, Stevie & Molly.
As we ease out of lockdown again, we shall follow the following procedures.
All tours take place and in the open air and all participants should adhere to social distancing by staying 2m apart. At this time, we are only accepting private bookings eg. one booking per time slot. This means that up to 5 people from the same household can take part and apart from our tour guide, there will be no other people on the tour.
Please do not attend if you have any of the following symptoms:
– a high temperature
– a new, continuous cough
– a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
We test our tour guides temperatures regularly, Molly not so much. And we shall also test participants temperatures before starting the tour.
Thank you to our NHS, Key Workers and all those who have gone above and beyond to help keep us safe and protect lives. Stay Safe, Be Kind, Protect Others.
Each tour will cover the key factors that lead up to the battles, the main characters, the battles themselves, the aftermath and the importance of the victory, then and now. I’m also very happy to spend 10 to 15 minutes chatting and answering questions about the battles, the sites, future developments in and around Bannockburn and Stirling or simply great places to visit, eat or enjoy a beer in the local area. Please do ask questions. Whether you are here for the day, a week or stay fairly local – you are all welcome.
Lastly, thank you for choosing Bannockburn, Stirling and Scotland as your home or your hoiday destination. If you are on a budget and money is a bit tight, please get in touch. We can look at a solution where you can donate any shortfall to one of our chosen charities when you are in a position to do so. Join Molly and me and we shall enjoy a Bannockburn/Stirling day to remember.

“Steven, outstanding! It is the warmest website I have read – truly highly appealing to a tourist. It oozes welcome, trust, knowledge and friendship. The TripAdviser reviews are superb and I love how you respond to them so personally. What a credit you are to your local area and Scotland taking time to welcome visitors and give of your time too, separate from the booked tours”.
Neil Lochiel, Society of William Wallace.
